Welsh Coast to Coast
Over the recent Easter Bank Holiday weekend, Andy, Nigel and I met up in Llandudno, North Wales, to ride from the north coast to the south, off-road, taking in some of the best trails Wales has to offer. The total route is about 330 miles, with 40,000 feet of elevation gain.
To cut a long story short, Andy and I ran out of time, and cut our ride short at Llanwrtyd Wells, just north of the Brecon Beacons. We had covered some 215 miles, and nearly 30,000 feet of climbing, but we both had work commitments to get back to on Tuesday. Nigel carried on finished the route at some point early on the Tuesday morning, having ridden the last 120 odd miles with no brakes! Insane.
